I am passionate about machine learning and its real-world applications. My research focuses on deep neural networks, their biases and limitations, pre-trained models, and strategies for better adoption and steering. Beyond theory, I have applied machine learning in agriculture, mining, manufacturing, and sports—earning multiple awards for these contributions.

I have worked at leading institutions, including the Australian National University (ANU), NICTA (now Data61), NEC Labs America, Xerox Research, Microsoft Research, and the Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML) at the University of Adelaide. 

Before joining Monash University, I was the Director of Probabilistic AI at AIML, where I continue to hold an adjunct position.
